About Coastal Communities Hospital
Coastal Communities Hospital opened its doors to the community in 1973. Since that time many changes have occurred, but one fact has remained: our dedication to providing the high quality care to our patients and to meet the needs of the community. Coastal Communities is a 178-bed acute care hospital. The hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, licensed by the State of California and approved for the acceptance of Medicare patients.
Pursuant to 42 CFR Section 489.20, this hospital meets the definition of a physician-owned hospital as specified in 42 CFR Section 489.3. A list of the Hospital physician owners or investors is available to you upon request from the Admissions Office.
